The story
How Centeem was born
The observation
60% of Algerians have no access to modern banking services. Professionals pay 30,000+ DZD for bank card readers plus 1,500/month. Tourists see their card declined everywhere. Yet everyone has a smartphone.
The obvious answer
What if the smartphone became a bank account, a pocket card reader, and a local cash point all at once? Not one more wallet, not one more card. Just the app, just compliance, just the network of partner agents.
The execution
We built Centeem as a regulated PSP (not just an app), with bank ring-fencing, BA licensing, an agent network across Algeria, multilingual support, and a design that accounts for local realities (cash, CCP, BaridiMob, tourist exchange).

Every line of code goes through a security audit. PIN + biometrics + AI fraud detection + automatic freeze on suspicious activity. Your funds are ring-fenced in a partner bank.
